Candied Mango Recipe

Another candied fruit that cannot be missing in our home is candied mango. Sweet and exotic, it will be a delight for our palate and an excellent handmade gift for our guests. Packaged in glass jars, it is undoubtedly appreciated. Here is the recipe and the ingredients we will need to make it.

INGREDIENTS:

MANGO400 g
SUGAR400 g
SALT1/2 teaspoon
LEMON1/2

INSTRUCTIONS:

Peel your ripe mangos with a peeler or a knife and cut them into cubes.

Put them in a pot and weigh the net content. (With 2 peeled mangos and seeds removed, I got about 380 g.)

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon directly into the pot with the mangoes and add the sugar. (For my quantity of mango, I used about 300 g of sugar.)

Place the pot on the stove and carefully stir until the contents come to a boil. Reduce the heat and, stirring occasionally, wait for about 20 minutes.

Remove from the heat and, with the help of a fork or spoon, place your candied mango on a sheet of parchment paper.

When they are lukewarm, dip them in the remaining sugar and store them in glass jars.
