Ingredients for Flatbread
- 80 g of water
- 3 g of dry yeast
- 80 g of milk
- 250 g of flour (half to be added initially)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (preferably raw for a richer flavor)
Step-by-Step Preparation
1. Activating the Yeast
Dissolve the dry yeast in water and let it sit for about 60 seconds. This step helps reactivate it before mixing with the other ingredients.
2. Preparing the Dough
Add the milk and half of the flour to the bowl with the activated yeast. Mix in the salt and sugar, but don’t overmix initially to avoid compromising the yeast’s effectiveness.
Gradually add the remaining flour and mix until you get a homogeneous dough. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes—the flour will naturally hydrate, making the dough easier to work with.
3. Shaping the Dough Balls
Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape them into smooth, uniform balls.
