ALCOHOLIC TIRAMISU’ 🤪 recipe

The tiramisù is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and appreciated spoon desserts in Italy and abroad for its deliciousness. But what if we made it alcoholic? The deliciousness multiplied infinitely with the Alcoholic tiramisù 🤪.

Let’s see then what ingredients we need and how to make the alcoholic tiramisu. Just a small note: I replace the classic ladyfingers with Pavesini because I like them better: for me, it’s easier to soak them to the right point, and they are lighter. Of course, you can choose whatever you prefer.

INGREDIENTS

KAHLUA LIQUEUR

4 tablespoons

EGGS

2

PAVESINI

12

MASCARPONE CHEESE

250 g

SUGAR

3 tablespoons

UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER

2 tablespoons

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites and proceed to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. To know if the egg whites are beaten properly, you should be able to flip the bowl upside down without the egg whites falling out. I recommend using a glass bowl; if you see any liquid remaining at the bottom, continue beating.

2) In another bowl, add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the 2 egg yolks and beat until creamy.

3) Add the mascarpone cheese and mix well using a hand or electric whisk.

4) Once the mascarpone is fully incorporated, add the beaten egg whites and gently fold them in using a spatula, working from the bottom up to achieve a fluffy and homogeneous cream.

5) Take your container or individual jars and start by layering with the mascarpone cream. Add a layer of Pavesini biscuits and then soak them using a couple of teaspoons of Kahlua liqueur instead of coffee, hence turning it into an alcoholic tiramisu. Continue with the cream and then the biscuits again, ending with a final layer of cream.

6) Using a sieve, dust the surface of the tiramisu with unsweetened cocoa powder.

7) Refrigerate for at least 12 hours.

Please note: When making it at home, I do not pasteurize the eggs. However, if you prefer to follow this procedure, you can check the comments posted under the YouTube video of the alcoholic tiramisu for guidance.
